Fitness Journal – Day 13 of 90 (Ugh, Car Troubles!)

Day 13 of 90 of this 90 day fitness journal! Today was spent at my parents’ house for most of the day. Lots of good food, but rather unproductive day with car troubles. Curses!

Morning

I had my coffee first thing this morning, alongside with a peached flavored yogurt from Trader Joe’s. Hulu popped up on my laptop, and I ended up watching that Framing Britney Spears documentary or episode or whatever. It was rather interesting! I snacked on some dried mangos, and those are sooooo good.

Workouts

The kids, husband, and I took the pups out for a walk shortly after the kids got out of bed. I was craving my usual Vanilla Latte from Starbucks, so we took a walk over to Starbucks. It’s rather dangerous being in such close proximity to a Starbucks, or any coffee shop in general. I then did yesterday’s Blogilates workouts –

  • Yoga for Splits – overall a good yoga session, but for some reason it was very difficult for me to relax and get into it today. I can do the side splits for the most part, bit I agree that holding them does feel a bit discomforting. Unfortunately I half-assed this workout.
  • Stretches You Need After a Stressful Day – a good stretching workout as it goes through the stretches and they are held for a good duration each. I might go back to this video at some point when I’m feeling a bit more calm as I just couldn’t go through the whole thing honestly within my state of mind.

Lunch Adventures

Lunch was at my parents’ house today, and we had some mooshu pancakes. It was more of a DIY burrito and it was really good! The seasoned veggies and the handmade tortillas by my dad were so tasty. I bought some Boozy Tea from Trader Joe’s yesterday, and brought one over to share with my brother. We agreed that it tasted like Arizona Iced Tea with a bit of booze. Not bad.

Tea Time

My parents have tea everyday shortly after lunch. I baked a matcha Japanese Cheesecake yesterday and brought it over for us to enjoy during tea time. They usually have some sort of sweets to go along with the tea, especially dark chocolates.

Afternoon/Car Troubles

I googled how long a car battery usually lasts and Google tells me 3 – 5 years. Somehow I thought they lasted way longer! Since it’s part of Lunar New Year, there is a tradition to visit various relatives to say “Happy New Year” and to give red envelopes filled with money. We did that, but our car wouldn’t start and we had to jump it. That happened last week too, so we think the car needs a new battery. It’s so odd! That took up most of the afternoon.

Dinner! (And Wine)

Dinner tonight consisted of some chicken, fried calamari, fried scallops, veggies, and some traditional dish with various dried seafoods. We opened a bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon to go with our meal. Most of it was really delicious. I had a few glasses of the wine, which definitely put me in a better mood. We chilled a bit afterwards and drove home, and here I am writing today’s 90 day fitness journey blog post.

Today’s Overview

My goodness, fruits (dried and fresh) sure do have a high proportion of carbs! There are other nutritious things in them that this journal isn’t recording, such as fibers and various vitamins. I’m feeling a bit constipated again, so maybe I should go to Chipotle again soon or something.
