Fitness Journal

Fitness Journal – Day 35 of 90 (End of Week 5, Still Going Strong!!)

It’s day 35 of 90 of this 90 day journey, writing my fitness and what I consume in the 90 day journal! Even more excitingly, it’s the end of week 5! We’re doing quite well, as we’ve made it past a full month. We’ll be half way done so soon too.

Morning

Brewed some coffee and had some hummus with pita chips. The son woke up early-ish today, so he had some of that too. I finished the rest of the Moxie movie, and overall it was awkward and interesting.

Trader Joe’s Trip

The husband and I headed to TJ’s and guess what? They had the cold brew coffee ice cream with tapioca pearls in them! I tried it immediately when we got home, and it wasn’t bad. The TJ’s didn’t have some other snacks/candies I was looking for, but at least it wasn’t a completely fail trip. We also went to Safeway afterwards to see if they had cheap beef for us to make more dog food. The beef wasn’t cheap, but we had to buy it anyways. Safeway also had interesting boba ice creams, which I bought with no self control. They also had the spicy cool ranch 3D Doritos, so I got a bag of those too.

Lunch

We were going to go try a new boba place and pick up some Mendocino Farms for lunch today, but it turns out when I was trying to order the family meal (4 any sandwiches/salads for $40), it didn’t let me and it gave me an error message saying it was only available from 3PM – 9PM. Ugh, why didn’t it let me know earlier, as it let me do the customization and add to cart? Good thing we weren’t driving 15 miles to try out another boba place then. We just had some leftovers and whatever was around our place.

Boba!

We usually take the pups for a decent walk around the neighborhood sometime after lunch on Sundays, but I kind of wanted a slight change of scenery. The kids have wanted to get their favorite drinks at iTea for a while, and this was a good time to go. There was a park to walk around nearby the iTea, and they were open in the afternoon. We would go to iTea more often if they didn’t open after 1 or 1:30PM. So late. The kids got their strawberry crystal and mango crystal drinks, the husband got his oreo blend drink, and I got my panda milk tea.

Dinner – Chinese Takeout

It’s Chinese Takeout Sunday again. We tried a new place, and the food was a bit more bland compared to the place we had last week. Most of us preferred last week’s Chinese takeout spot, but the daughter preferred this one because she liked the blandness of the stuff for some reason. Disowned! Jkjk.

Today’s Workouts

We’re on the last few days of the 1000 ab challenge, so the workouts until completion of that challenge is mainly just that challenge. Today’s workout consisted of the below –

  • Apartment Friendly Warmup – a quick 3 minute of actual workout time. Extremely mild cardio and stretches for one song.
  • 1000 abs – Day 7. Today we add on low helicopters. Those went by quicker than the wiggles! After the new low helicopters, we had to do the previous days abs – butt-ups, toe reaches, wiggles, single leg drops, sit-ups (subbed with a plank for 100 seconds), and crunches.

Today’s Overview

Not surprising that most of my consumption were carbs, especially from the milk tea, ice cream, and candies. I also had some chips that I didn’t record, so some more carbs there. Dinner almost made up for it as I didn’t partake in the rice, but it was kind of salty as most Chinese takeout is rather salty. My taste buds were satisfied with the sweetness consumed today though!

Weekly Overview

Wow, the week flew by quickly! Work was very busy this past week, and other than that, I wasn’t as productive. I just need to remind myself that the workout calendars are being completed and I’m recording this in the journal and writing about it here, that’s rather darn productive right there. I’m all about “treat yourself,” so I’ll still have my sweets here and there, but would love to partake in more protein next week since if I want to look bigger/bulkier in certain areas, proteins and exercise is the way to go, correct? Anyways, we shall see… Week 6, here we go!
