Fitness Journal – Day 4 of 90

Day 4 out of 90 on this 90 day fitness journey, though it’s more of recording things consumed and workouts. I’m more than half way through the week, so now it’s 11.5 more weeks to go!

Morning

My morning started as usual, with some coffee, which I totally forgot to record in today’s journal. Whoops! I always have a coffee. That’s a given. I had Trader Joe’s pork soup dumplings today for breakfast, and then got right onto work. A lot of unexpected things occurred and took up a lot of my time.

Arms Workout

Today’s workout consisted of a few weightless arm workouts. All the videos had similar moves without using weights, and my arms and shoulders really felt it! My arms are very weak, and it takes a long time to strengthen them. I was in physical therapy since there’s something wrong with my shoulders and hip rotation, so these arm exercises today helps a bit. Just gotta remember to do them after the 90 days are over! I got one video down (under 10 minutes) and continued working.

Lunch Time!

Wahoo, lunch! Today’s lunch consisted of frozen foods – green beans, bagel bites, and Trader Joe’s orange chicken. The kids had some mac n cheese, and I didn’t partake in that because I’m not a fan of boxed mac n cheese.

After Lunch and Dinner

I was working and in calls practically all between after lunch and dinner. The second arms workout was a 20 minute workout, and it took me 10+ pauses to get through it because of work requests and my arms couldn’t do each move continuously. I’m trying! The kids started their dinner first, and I got the last arms workout video in before I started eating. We had the leftover food from last night, plus some spiced rice and more naan.

Sweet Tooth

I went through the day pretty well without too many sweets, but my sweet tooth kicked in early evening and after dinner. Safeway had a pudding boba popsicle and that was an interesting one! The top was a brown sugar-like layer, and the rest was a pudding-ish flavor with pudding pieces on top below the brown sugar layer and boba pieces below the pudding pieces. It did not mixed well at all, but it did look amazing. The brown sugar layer was hard and almost impossible to get all the flavors together. That layer would fall apart easily as it had a different texture and consistency with the rest of the popsicle. I also had a couple chocolate squares. Yummy.

Liquid Consumption

I think I did pretty well on water today. My eyes feel rather dry from allergies, but I did refill my water often today. I also had a soda, which I just noticed I did not record as well.

Thoughts and Remaining of the Night

The part you’ve been waiting for – my journal entry. I’ve been having quite a bit of TJ’s frozen foods this week. They have so many delicious options, and I’ll most likely restock on things there this weekend. TJ’s have many great options, and it isn’t as overwhelming with options compared to other larger grocery stores. They have items seemingly exclusive to them at great prices, which we come back for more.

I’ll try to be a bit productive tonight, and fingers crossed I don’t play Homescapes all night (curses). I received a free book for a new book club at work, and I need to read (or at least skim) it to discuss some time later this month. Ah, the things I sign up for… gotta be committed!
