What a chill day… it’s day 76 if 90 of this 90 day journal journey. We spent most of the day at the parents’ house and had some good food and drinks.
Morning
I thought I got a good amount of sleep last night, but apparently I was up for a bit twice during the middle of the night. Anyways, I got out of bed and watched some TV and did my stretch videos.
Today’s Workouts
It’s Stretch Saturday, and today’s workouts were –
Relaxing Stretches for Better Sleep & Increased Flexibility – this one the video done in bed, but I did mine on a yoga mat on hard floor. Meh.
Fun Yoga Routine for Flexibility with Jackelyn Ho – I loved how this video wasn’t long at all. Pretty good stretches for the hips and hamstrings.
Small Bakery Nearby
We had to get gas for the car today, and there is a tiny French bakery nearby. I had to check it out! The pastries are pretty good that I might just go back very soon. Wow, I’m rather surprised that I didn’t know about this place much sooner, LOL.
Lunch @ The Parents’ Place
Chow mein, fried chicken pieces, and fried soft shell crabs for lunch today. Crabs usually make me itch, but my parents insisted that I try one, so I did. It was alright. My younger cousins came over and the kids and them had lunch outside. So cute. Probably a bunch of Minecraft talk.
More Boba Adventures
The cousins planned on getting boba nearby today, so we all went. We ordered around 10 drinks, hahahaha. The kids really like the various popping boba flavors. I got myself a coffee milk tea with no toppings as I don’t really like their pearls, and I had some boba yesterday as well.
Later in the Afternoon
All the kids played some Super Smash Bros for a bit, and then I hogged the TV after the cousins left. I caught the most recent episode of Top Chef and that was pretty good. Such a good show! Some people mentioned they liked it more when there was a lot of drama, such as in the earlier seasons. The group of chefs this season and the prior contestants as part of the guest panel are just amazing. Very nice to see familiar faces.
Dinner – Mostly Wine and Meats
I just realized I did not write down whatever soup my mom made and all the fruits I had in the afternoon. Anyways, dinner tonight was protein rich with steak and lamb. Red wine was included, of course! I’m getting the second dose vaccine next week, so no drinking for me next Saturday. Sadness, but probably for the better.
Today’s Overview
Adding the stuff I did not write down will put me at over 2000 Calories today. Everything (minus the soup) was pretty good. Today reminded me of how much I enjoy good French pastries. Mmmm!! Overall it was a very chill day. Barely did any exercise other than what was scheduled plus a short walk. Tastebuds are happy. It just feel so nice to treat yoself once a while. Maybe I do so way more often than I should.
