Lululemon Scrunchies – Worth it?
How much are scrunchies these days? It’s been years since I bought them, and the ones I’ve had previously weren’t that great. My daughter and I went to Lululemon to look for shorts, and there was a pack of scrunchies that caught my eye, but they were $48 for a pack of 7 scrunchies! Holy moly!
Price per Scrunchie
48/7 = almost 7, perhaps a bit over 7 after taxes. That’s a bit much for a scrunchie! I looked online to see if there were more, and thankfully there were some on sale!! They also sell individual scrunchies for $8 a piece… WOW!!! Simple pattern or plain color.. so much for one hair tie.
Sale Scrunchies
I bought a couple packs of their uplifting scrunchies on sale. I cannot find them today on the website anymore, but the sale price was $29. There were other types of scrunchies and in various packs, such as singles and also packs of 3. I bought a pack of 3 in their uplifting bow style as well. $32 regular (over $10 a scrunchie???) to $19 sale price.
Feel and Such
They feel amazing, but not that pricey amazing. The colors are so awesome, and they can make some amazing decorations! These are sort of addictive as well. I’ve been wearing the bow uplifting ones (red and pink) and the teal/blue uplifting scrunchies quite a bit and they’ve held up well. HOWEVER, there was the pattern one (flowerscope), that did not last long at all… probably just 4 wears before it broke. Sadness!
Snapped Lululemon Scrunchie
See above for the size comparison! The normal size scrunchie snapped so the elastic portion broke, and the size afterwards amazed me. Will need to open it up to fix or do some magic to fix it up again, but I’m too lazy to do that… so sad, didn’t get much use out of that one. Was the quality overall just horrible in general? Hopefully my other ones will stay intact for years!
Worth It?
Hard to say, but if they all behaved like the broken one did, then no, not worth it at all. It was then sort of repurposed into a small dog toy, but we’ll see how long that’ll last. The product itself is beautiful, but they do also feel sweaty/wet after an intense sweaty workout so they are prone to smell if they don’t get cleaned.
