Tea Forte Review – Is it an Exceptional Tea Experience?

I received the Jardin Gift Set from a colleague, and it was my first Tea Forte experience. I love tea, good boxes, and beautiful cups/mugs, etc. The box seemed so exceptional, and I was so excited to dive in. Here’s my Tea Forte review. Enjoy the photos! Comments in the captions. 🙂

Beautiful study quality box. Header photo is the box closed, and this is the box when it's opened. Opens and closes very nicely. Top notch first impression!
Inside the box, removing the cover. The kit contains a box of teas, cup, lid with hole, and a tray
Here are the items out of the box and opened. Cup, lid, tray, and teas.
Here's the close-up of the teas. Two each of the following: chocolate rose, vanilla pear, green mango peach, camomile citron, and strawberry hibicus.

Let’s Brew Some Tea!

The packaging is very nice. All the tea are packaged in those pyramids and each one has a leaf thingy to them. The idea behind it is to stick the leaf thingy through the hole on the lid or something. Let’s see how this goes!

Cup with the lid with the hole, and the tea packages.
Opened tea pyramid. Look how nice that looks! The item and the packaging looks amazing.
In the process of heating up some water for my tea. The tea bag itself stands upright.
The tea bag floats when water is poured over. No wonder it comes with a lid with a hole... to place it down to seep.
Look at that... sticking right out, letting the tea steep rather more evenly than without.

Tea Quality and Such

Well this tea forte review is mostly photos with brief descriptions, but overall, the tea is OK. The tea itself seems very pricey in relation to the taste and quality, but perhaps because a lot of money goes toward the packaging. I was rather excited based on the flavor names that the teas have (except chocolate rose, omg, still haven’t tried that one), such as vanilla pear and green mango peach. Those sound so lovely, but the flavors mentioned weren’t quite found.

What’s Up With the Lid (and Tray)?

It seems very gimmicky. I’m honestly unsure what the purpose is other than using it for tea forte items. It was interesting, but I’m unsure when I’ll use the cup with the hole lid. I didn’t understand the purpose of the tray. It is to put the tea bag on before and after? I initially thought it was to put the cup on top, but it doesn’t quite fit unless it’s at a perfect spot. A little movement will cause the cup to tip over. Perhaps I shall look into this, but as an initial reaction without doing research, I am confused.

LOL, the lid fits over another one of my cups!

Overall Thoughts

Very beautiful, and I am impressed with the packaging. I really enjoy this gift, though it doesn’t seem so practical. If you enjoy Tea Forte’s tea, then it’ll be more worth it for you.
