Trader Joe’s Peppermint Chocolate Chunk Cookie Mix Review

Oh, Trader Joe’s… another review of your items here. I love mint, so I was excited to see Trader Joe’s peppermint chocolate chunk mix at the store. I’ve been much lazier this holiday /New Year season, so yes, I made cookies using a cookie mix.

Container – Trader Joe’s peppermint cookie review

It’s similar to some oatmeal containers!! It feels that way, and it looks like it too. Even the mix itself is just dumped right in there. No plastic bag or any packaging within the outer container. Very interesting.

Directions

They’re rather easy! You’ll need a stick of unsalted butter, softened, and a large egg to go with the mix. Beat the butter, then mix in the cookie mix and egg until dough comes together. Form into balls on parchment-lined pan and bake for 14-16 mins at 350F.

Perhaps More Than One Pan / Sheet

I rolled the dough into 24 balls as instructed. The balls didn’t look that big, but they sure did expand! LOL… see below for the final product.

Worth It?

Yup, one of the better cookie mixes I’ve tried over the years. I don’t quite remember when the last time was, but these are pretty good! I served them after a Christmas lunch, and everyone that enjoys mint enjoyed these cookies. They weren’t overly sweet and there’s a subtle mint flavor, along with the chocolate chunks and whatnot.
