Alo Hair Tie Review – Untangled Hair Tie 6 Pack!

Wow, it’s October already… September flew by so fast and I’m trying my best to catch up with what I need to do before work tomorrow morning. Anyways, I tried Lululemon’s scrunchies a while back, and with an Alo Yoga opening in Walnut Creek over the summer, I’ve been buying quite a bit from them, including some new hair ties!

Untangled Hair Tie - 6 Pack for $15. A bit over $2 per hair tie… they better last a while!

Alo Hair Ties

They are soft and they don’t have that annoying seam that the common hair ties have that break so easily! I went through packs of those hair ties from Target and what not, and they also hurt and snag hair. These Alo hair ties also come in fun colors, but it seems the black ones are very common because they are sold out online as I’m writing this blog post.

Variety of Colors

I chose the pastel pack at first as it comes with beautiful pastel colors (see header photo) and the neutral color pack. Each of those packs come with a couple black ones, so I didn’t feel the need to search for the pack of black hair ties to add to cart.

First Impressions

My overall first impressions / my Alo hair tie review is rather positive! They add in a pop of color and are fun. They stay on better than just a scrunchie alone, though if your hair is super smooth, there is some slippage. I do need to use another hair tie to get this one to stay on looping it once after it being in my hair, but when I pull out the hair tie, including this one, there’s been less snagging somehow, which is awesome.

The 2 I got. Pastels and neutral. I opened the pastel pack and started using the lavender one!

Long Lasting?

This, I’m not too sure… I’ve used the lavender one for about a week and it’s still good, but the material feel reminds me of a stretchy version of those condensed dog ropes that dogs chew on and such, haha. Not a bad thing! Some fibers have been coming off so the hair tie itself may be unraveling? Let’s see if I get this in the photos below.

The white threads are the stretchy portions that’s unraveling off of the hair tie.
Can flip around or not, up to you.

Worth It?

So far so good, but rather pricey for hair ties in comparison to the generic ones, but these aren’t generic. They look and feel great, and the logo adds something special to these. Hopefully they do last a super long time and that I won’t need to buy more of these!
