Fitness Journal – Day 17 of 90

Day 17 of 90 of this 90 day fitness journey! My mouth has been super dry from all the salt I had yesterday, so today was a big water day for me.

Morning

According to my Apple Watch, I had a tough time staying asleep. I was up nearly every hour based on the movement patterns, and I don’t think I’ve been fully away all day today. The coffee and the protein (smoked salmon and string cheese) helped a bit early on, but I quickly became tired as I was working. 

Workouts – Part 1 of 2

I started to do today’s series of workout videos and did the following ones well before lunch – 

  • Flat Belly Fat Burner – a short video that wasn’t bad at all. There was a mix of cardio and abs. It was one of Cassey’s older videos, but in fact, all of them today were her older videos. Downside is that I don’t feel my belly getting flatter.
  • The 100 Burpee Burnout – I thought I’d have a very hard time with this one, but it wasn’t nearly as bad as I thought it was going to be. Cassey gave 10 variations of burpees, and we do each 10 times, resulting in 100 burpees. She takes small water breaks in between some sets, and that was when I would pause to respond and write more emails. 

Lunch – Chipoopootle!

The husband picked up some Chipotle per my request and I got a steak bowl. Free guac today on his app, so yay!! The kids don’t like Chipotle’s guac for some reason, so the husband made some additional guac for them to enjoy. I feel extremely bloated and sort of constipated, so I hope I’ll feel much better tomorrow!

Workouts – Part 2 of 2

I completed the other 2 videos in the afternoon – 

  • 5 Best Exercises to Flatten your Lower Belly – pretty good one, nice and sweet.
  • POP Pilates Stretching for Flexibility – a rather relaxing one as it’s all stretching. There were some moves, notably the bridge or wheel, that isn’t quite suitable for all, so definitely be careful while attempting to do the wheel backbend. 

Pups got Groomed Today!

Both Mochi and Snowy went to the groomers today, and they now look extremely similar because their furs are cut. They look so silly with such short hair. Their grooms were alright, but both were charged a matteing fee, which sucked. 

Extra Chipotle for Me

The husband didn’t finish his Chipotle burrito, so I had the joy of eating some of it with some extra hot sauce. He really likes sour cream so he gets extra sour cream in there, which isn’t my thing, so I put more hot sauce to drown that out. 

Dinner – Leftovers and Frozen Dumplings

Nothing too exciting here… had various leftovers for dinner. I felt I consumed a good amount of protein compared to fats and carbs today, but my goodness, my mind is just super cloudy today! I’m getting a bit agitated right now. I received a sample of 2 ashwagandha gummies, and those were advertised to help destress and better sleep. It’s been hours now, and still don’t feel anything. Ashwagandha supposedly has a lot of healing properties for a variety of things, so maybe I’ll look into it. Perhaps it’s one of those things to take shortly before bed or something.

Day Overview

I’m drinking more water as I’m writing this, but wow, my mouth feels extremely dry. Hopefully I won’t wake up many times through the night tonight, especially for various bathroom breaks LOL. A rather uneventful day overall, other than the dogs getting groomed.
