Fitness Journal – Day 18 of 90 (Marshmallows in Dinner Dish!)

Day 18 of 90 of this 90 day fitness journey! Great news is that Chipotle yesterday really helped today, but I wished it could have helped a bit more. 

Morning

I brewed a pot of coffee shortly after I got up, and had the remaining smoked salmon along with a string cheese for breakfast. Dried peaches were later added in for some fiber. I’ve been getting Stumptown coffee delivered to me, and I just ran out of beans this morning. My beans were supposed to arrive yesterday, but they’ve been stuck at the “pre-shipment” stage, so I might just make a single brew using a K-cup similar thingy tomorrow. Ugh.

Work work work

Well, the cups of coffee wasn’t enough, so I tried an oatmilk draft latte (from Trader Joe’s, of course) for the first time. It wasn’t bad at all, but had somewhat a hard time tasting the coffee flavor from the oatmilk.

Today’s Workout (Part 1 of 2)

I got in a couple of today’s workouts before lunch today – 

  • Silent Death Cardio – the title sounds scarier than it is! This was a short video that doesn’t have jumping! It was advertised as apartment friendly. 
  • 10 Minute Arm Toner – my arms are so weak. It was a great video with weights though. Cassey used 5 pound weights in the video, and I tried with 3 pounds, and it wasn’t all the way smooth sailing, but it was good nonetheless.

Lunch!

Fast food for lunch today. Our van went in for some repairs, and the husband had to do some pick up, so he brought back McDonald’s. 

3D Doritos, LOL

Somewhat of a blast from the past! I wasn’t deterred from all that McDonald’s salt, so I snacked on some 3D Doritos in the afternoon. It was a bit disappointing that a bunch of these were either flat or broken. 

Today’s Workout – Part 2 of 2

I completed the other 2 videos before dinner – 

  • 12 Minutes to Toned Arms Workout – this video is similar to prior weeks’ arm videos. It doesn’t require weights, and it was mostly good. The moves where you make the elbows touch, such as prayer pulses and such, are definitely not my fave moves.
  • 7 Minutes to Fabulous Arms – more prayer pulses… ugh.

Part of Dinner – a Sweet Potato Casserole

Definitely not Thanksgiving, but we had to use a good portion of the 8 pounds of sweet potatoes that my parents dumped on us. None of us have had a sweet potato casserole, a supposedly traditional dish with marshmallows on top, so we agreed we’d try it. We tried it and will most likely never make it again. It wasn’t as bad as I thought it was going to be, but it isn’t something I would crave for dinner.

Other Part of Dinner – Crispy-ish Chicken with a Lemon-ish Sauce

We added some protein! It felt better eating this compared to the sweet potatoes. I’ve been sitting down for most of the evening by watching Hulu with the kids and also looking up various handbags online for a while. No worries though, as I didn’t buy a single one!

Today’s Overview

Not too bad today, but I realized our place is extremely messy! We’ve had absolutely no motivation to clean, but we really need to. I have too much stuff, and we don’t have spare room. Honestly, if we had that small spare room, I’d probably make that my office to work uninterrupted and put some exercise machine in there as well. No spare room, so I got to make due with what I have. I can’t just toss all that because it doesn’t spark joy, but ya know… family.
