Fitness Journal – Day 19 of 90

Day 19 of my 90 day fitness journey using Popflex Active’s 90 day fitness journal! I didn’t get as much sleep last night because I kept playing Homescapes. I highly do not recommend these types of games because it’s an absolute waste of time and highly addictive.

Morning

My Stumptown coffee beans have been stuck in “pre-shipment” for a while, and it was supposed to arrive yesterday. I made coffee from a K-Cup coffee pod with my flex coffee maker (it can brew regular and single servings). It didn’t taste as good, and it did not go too well with the cheese and yogurt I had for breakfast. The coffee pod coffee was disappointing, so I made up for it by getting a Philz coffee.

Workouts! Leg and Thighs

As it’s Friday, I did Saturday’s workout and I save the Friday stretching videos for Saturday. Today’s workout consisted of – 

  • Total Body Slim Down – Quick set of cardio moves
  • Quick Burn Saddlebags Slimdown – I had no idea what saddlebags were in relation to the body, but was a bit disappointed when I found out because I wanted to widen that area. It was an interesting quick video consisting of thigh stuff.
  • Quick Burn Inner Thigh Workout – another quick one! 
  • Quick Burn Calves – OK, I’m sensing a theme here today. This one was extremely quick, but I really felt the burn in this one. 
  • Quick Burn Legs – similar moves to prior weeks videos, and was quick indeed. 

Series of short videos! It wasn’t too bad, and I knocked them all out at once.

Lunch Time – BBQ!!

The kids and I watched some more Worth It Buzzfeed/Tasty videos on Hulu last night, and there was an episode on BBQ. The daughter said she wanted BBQ for lunch, and the son said he wanted Chipotle for lunch (again). We got some BBQ since it sounded very good and we already had Chipotle earlier this week. 

Weird Mood

It was one of those days where I got agitated at nearly anything and one of those days where I didn’t feel like doing anything. Turns out that my time of the month decides to come a couple days early again, so that explains it. It’s just a bit bothersome and worrisome that my mood sinks so low randomly shortly before the time of the month. I had plans to do some organization/clean-up, but didn’t do any of that today. Luckily I have the motivation to write this post though!

Dinner – Leftovers and Such

We had some leftovers for dinner, mostly stuff from last night, such as the chicken and the casserole. We’ll be going to my parents’ tomorrow and for sure will be bringing back some leftovers from their house, whether we want them or not. 

Matcha Mousse Cake

I feel that I need to have some “productive points” today, so I’ll be attempting to make some matcha mousse after posting this entry. The base cake layer has baked and cooled, so I can make the mousse, pour it over the matcha sponge cake, and let it be refrigerated overnight. Unfortunately I didn’t take any photos earlier, so there won’t be a post about that unless I make it again.

Today’s Overview

Not much snacking today, but some larger filling meals. I’m a bit thirsty right now, so I’ll go ahead and have some more water. That wine during dinner made me feel a bit better.
