Fitness Journal – Day 46 of 90 (Gloomy & Rainy Day)

I thought it was Friday for a moment, but nope… it’s a gloomy and rainy Thursday. It’s also day 46 of 90 of this 90 day fitness journal journey, the start to our second half of this 90 day journey!

Morning

OMG, it was so difficult to get up this morning. It was super dark, and I didn’t get much sleep because the pups were causing some ruckus on our bed. Mochi went under the sheets and started to dig and that was loud. Snowy then followed her, and Mochi was being territorial, so she barked and growled at Snowy. Not so great being a light sleeper. The coffee definitely helped. We got a new creamer – a cocoa pebbles flavored one. It was better than the fruity pebbles one, LOL. 

Today’s Workouts

I started work earlier today (like 6:30AM) to take care of requests based in the UK. Ahh, time zones get interesting with this job at times. The good news is I got all of today’s workout videos before lunch – 

  • Quick Sweat Fat Burning Circuit – nice 6 minute workout with 45 seconds on and 15 seconds off. 
  • 21 Minute Total Arm Tone Workout – this one uses various sets of light-ish weights. It was doable with light weights for me, and my goal is to do it with no issue using the weights Cassey used. My arms really needed this! It did have prayer pulses with a weight though… ugh, can’t seem to escape prayer pulses on upper body days. 3 rounds of 6 – 7 minutes.
  • The Ultimate Weightless Arm Sculpt – very similar to Cassey’s other weightless arm videos. More prayer pulses.

Leftovers

Lunch consisted of leftovers and frozen foods, such as penne pasta with pesto and marinara sauce, pan fried dumplings/pot stickers, bagel bites, etc. We had a few bananas that were going to go bad so I made various banana muffins from them. I made some plain ones, some with chocolate chips, some with nuts, and some with chocolate chip and nuts. They aren’t my choice of muffins, but they were pretty delicious. 

Afternoon Break

We headed to the post office and UPS to make some returns (damaged items upon arrival) and such. Trader Joe’s and Starbucks were nearby the mailing places so we went there too. TJ’s was out of stock on the good snacks again, but we did try some of their scallop chips with 5 cheeses. Pretty flavorful! I redeemed a free drink at Starbucks, and got a mocha cookie crumble frap and a venti latte with multiple shots and oat milk. I had a few sips of that and let it cool and placed it in the fridge for tomorrow’s enjoyment. Not much coffee after 2PM for me!

Dinner

The kids and I watched episodes of The Great Food Truck Race that we missed prior years while we had dinner tonight. They had make your own tacos and chicken nuggets, and the husband and I had steak n peppers and onions with mozzarella on garlic bread and some potato wedges. It was a Hello Fresh meal. The bread was too garlicky for me, so I skipped that and had the rest of the stuff plus some chips and guac. I had the rest of the TJ’s cold brew boba ice cream for dessert. 

Closet Clean-Up?

I got rid of many older tops and skirts (both casual and work) some weeks ago, and got rid of a few pairs of pants today. There is still plenty more I can get rid of, but I’m not ready to at this point. The pants I got rid of today are nice jeans and pants that are originally super expensive for what they are, but of course, I got them on sale so I don’t feel so bad getting rid of them. A pair is just way too tight one me, and the others I just don’t love anymore. 

Today’s Overview

My arms are rather weak, so it’s always nice to work those. The weights video was better for me since it didn’t feel as uncomfortable as the weightless arms video, and weights might be able to help me gain some muscle? Whenever I’m not following a Blogilates calendar, I’d like to go back to that total arm tone workout to see if I get better at that one. We’ll see if that time comes. 🙂 Ugh, I shouldn’t have eaten the rest of that ice cream after dinner tonight. It’s a bit uncomfortable right now, but I’ll sleep it off later.
