Fitness Journal – Day 78 of 90 (Not Bad for a Monday!)

Wow, this is the second to last Monday of this journey. Day 78 of 90 of this 90 day journal journey… just one more Monday to go after today! Week 12 started today. So close to the end!

Morning

It wasn’t all dark when I got up this morning, but I did get up in the middle of the night a couple times. I brewed some coffee and had some of that with some oat milk. No usual quick TJ’s breakfast for me today. I used various things I got from my parents and from TJs and made myself a smoothie with banana, spinach, cashews, milk, and other stuff. It tasted really healthy, but that these smoothies are highly Caloric based on the nuts blended in there. Not bad though. I’ll prob have more of those this week.

Later Morning

Work, and some more work. I forgot to buy some things at TJ’s and miss having my protein breakfasts, so I made some omelettes, but in egg cup form. Rice and veggies mixed in eggs and baked for 21 mins or so. Add some cheese and hot sauce, and these can be pretty good! 

Today’s Workouts

Mondays are total body days! Today’s videos were – 

  • 12 Minutes to Burn Fat – a low impact cardio workout. Not bad at all. 
  • Butt Lifting & Thigh Sculpting Workout – another sub-15 min workout. It was alright.
  • Total Body Pilates Workout – total body indeed. I liked how this one had some abs built in since that’s one of my weakest parts, mainly the part I’m most self-conscious of. I’d love to be able to feel comfortable wearing and walking out in stuff that shows the midriff (aka the sports bras Cassey wears in her videos). Someday!

Lunch – No Takeout Today

My mom’s sister has been getting a bunch of various groceries and gave my parents cases of veggies, including bell peppers. Guess who they pass some of that along to? Yup… us. We utilized some of that today and put in some olive oil and some apple cider vinegar for lunch today. It tasted alright, but didn’t keep us full so we had some other stuff/snacks afterwards. 

Afternoon Walks

I went on a couple 10 minute walks today – once after lunch and once sometime between after the kids were done with school and dinner. It felt nice to step outside on a weekday since I haven’t been outside during workdays in a while

Dinner 

We had some chow mein, popcorn chicken, lemon salmon, cauliflower (bleh!) with pistachios (yum!), and green beans for dinner tonight. the pistachios gave a great texture to everything. I don’t remember eating that many pistachios in a long time!

Finished Tournament of Champions – Season 2

The kids and I watched the finale of ToC Season 2. Pretty good! We were happy with the ways things ended. I haven’t heard of the winner until I started watching ToC, but everything she’s made on the show would be stuff I’d eat. All of it sounds sooooo good!

Today’s Overview

Ugh, I keep getting these headaches after meals for some reason. I didn’t have any cheese today and I used non-dairy milk, so it shouldn’t be from dairy. The headaches and bloating is rather strong right now despite a well-balanced dinner and food day overall. I’ll probably try something similar this week to see if it gets any better, but it’s potentially nice to know that dairy isn’t the cause. Yet again, one day is too soon to tell. Anyways, it was a decent Monday. Work was productive, but could have been more productive. I went on a couple short walks, but didn’t do any cleaning.
