Fitness Journal

Fitness Journal – Day 90 of 90 (YEAHHHH, We Did It!)

OMG, it’s day 90 of 90 of this 90 day journal journey! We actually did all 90 days of working out, check marking each video that appears on the Blogilates monthly calendars! What a first… working out consecutively and such. Pretty amazing that we developed such a great habit during these past few months and I sure hope we continue on the good exercise habits without journal pages.

Day 1 to Day 90

90 days isn’t really a long time when you think about it. It’s enough to get tasks done and enough to develop some habits (both good and bad), but not enough to be life-changing. Sure, some people may physically see differences from day 1 to 90, but I believe the important thing is to continue on and keep trying and strength the goals from day 1. This started as a “fitness” journey, but then turned into a habit journal journey. I didn’t complete my goals per se, but I did develop a good habit of exercising with accountability. My body still looks the same as day 1, but say even if it looks “better,” completing 90 days just isn’t enough… gotta keep going to be better or at least maintain what we’ve accomplished.

Self-Awareness

Building good habits during the 90 days was great, but self-awareness was super important as well. This 90 day journal journey had me more self aware of things I was doing and when I’d get upset. It felt a bit more spiritual toward the end of the 90 day journal journey, and I’ll definitely explore more of what I like and dislike – both regular life stuff and types of exercises (I know I dislike prayer pulses and thigh work, but enjoy the cardio/HIIT fast-pace stuff).

Now, Onto Today!

It’s been quite a typical Saturday today. Got up, had coffee and breakfast, did my workouts, and headed to my parents’ place. We picked up some pastries nearby, and those are always good. Such amazing croissants. I tried to order 3 of each type they were offering, but there was a limit of 2 of each type. Regular croissants, French butter croissants, and chocolate croissants. They had some almond kouign amann available, and I got a couple of those too. So good!

Lunch and Boba Run

My uncle’s fam came over too, and the husband and I took the kids (all 4 of them!) to get boba nearby. The place doesn’t have our usual flavors – almond, honeydew, wintermelon, etc, so I tried their oolong milk tea and the husband got their Thai tea. The kids got various slushies. Lunch was good. We had some sushi platters with various rolls, pizza, and other things. Yum!

Afternoon / Before Dinner

I watched the most recent Top Chef ep! Great as always, though I’m not really fond of the movie-themed food kind of stuff. We took the pups for a walk and it was pretty nice outside today. I stepped into a stone shop and the rocks/crystals were so beautiful. My daughter took most of my existing rocks since she likes them too, and I’m more into the bigger pieces now. Unfortunately, most large beautiful rocks are crazy expensive, but I bought a half-hand size amethyst clusters and a small citrine clusters. I plan on buying a large piece once I do some work to the place… maybe next year!

Dinner

My dad and I had some scotch to go along with our meal tonight. My brother got his second vaccine dose yesterday and didn’t drink. Dinner wasn’t as exciting as lunch other than the alcohol, but it was still good. I had a bit more of a chocolate croissant after dinner. Ahh, so good… I’d love to make my own at some point, but will need a lot of free time to do so to ensure the dough is chilled properly and rolled into its many layers properly. Definitely need a whole day or 2 for all that!

Today’s Overview and Weekly Overview

What a chill day today! Great food, and the kids had a lot of fun playing a bunch of games with my young cousins. Weather was nice, so not much to complain about today. The headaches still remain, but not as bad and constant as they were earlier in the week. Small victories! This 90 day journal journey has come to an end, but I’m confident that we will continue on beyond the pages.
