ZAMAT Original Cervical Pillow – Is it the Superior Pillow?
One fact is that I wished I found out about cervical pillows many years ago to save myself from years of neck pain. Shipping / Packaging
They ship so fast! I got my package in a couple days (I’m in California), and it was neatly wrapped. I noticed this pillow was quite a bit lighter than the butterfly cervical pillow.
Letting the Pillow Expand and to Air Out
This original cervical pillow was tightly in its package and quickly took its form once I got it out of its packaging. It needed some time, so I let it sit for a bit.
First Reactions and Cooling Aspect
Wow, it’s really soft! I suppose the pillowcase is already on the pillow as it feels amazingly soft and the back has a zipper. The pillowcase itself is considered a cooling pillowcase as the air can go out from it as opposed to being trapped within. For a more colorful or different design look, you can put another pillow case on this pillow, but IMO it doesn’t need another case as it might affect the cooling aspect.
Original Cervical Pillow vs. Butterfly Button Cervical Pillow
Both pillows look different than “regular” pillows, and both of these pillows feel pretty good. There are pros / cons to both, and below are my choices depending on the features –
- Firmer pillow – the butterfly button cervical pillow! Both are memory foam, but the butterfly shaped one is firmer.
- Softer feel – original cervical pillow! The softness of this pillow was something I recognized immediately.
- Immediate use – butterfly button cervical pillow! It was nearly all ready for use after unpackaging the pillow. No time for it to air out. No wait time. I had to air out this original cervical pillow overnight since there was a slight scent (very common with pillows, mattresses, etc.) for a longer period of time.
- Side sleeper – I’d say both because both have unique features, but personally, original cervical pillow! Softer feel and I move around a lot and this pillow makes a seamless transition while I move around side to side.
- Back sleeper – butterfly button cervical pillow! Ah, so comfortable with its firmness and structure.
- Height – the butterfly button one is a bit higher, so this original butterfly pillow may be better for you if you prefer something more medium height and of softer memory foam.
- Piercings? – My earrings would get a bit caught on the butterfly button pillow, so I’d say original cervical pillow for its softness and smoothness! Though if you don’t move around as much as I do in your sleep, either is good – depends on whether you want something higher/firmer/etc.
Which is the Superior Pillow?
Can I say both? Well, it just depends on my needs for that night. I personally prefer the butterfly button cervical pillow a bit more because of its firmness and how great it feels to lie down on my back and getting that neck/shoulder support from it. The original cervical pillow does the same, but the feel of the butterfly shaped one is more for me. If I know I’ll be going side to side, I’d use the original cervical pillow for its softness. It was also really warm the first night I tried the original cervical pillow and I didn’t feel overheated, so perhaps the cooling pillowcase did the trick there? Worth It / Interested?
