Fitness Journal – Day 32 of 90 (Quick Starbucks Run!)

Another step closer… Day 2 of 90 of this 90 day journey! Sleep wasn’t so great last night because the 2 pups kept moving around and refuse to rest anywhere else. I didn’t want to kick them or move in a way that they’d fall off the bed, sacrificing my own sleep.

Morning

I had my usual coffee with creamer first thing in the morning, and finished up the tube of the honey goat cheese with some TJ’s fig & olive crackers. I’ve been rather behind on watching shows lately, but I squeeze in several episodes of Mr. Mayor on Hulu before I started work. It’s a rather enjoyable show with quick episodes and some comedy.

Work and Snacks

Got some work done, and it’s another busy day. It’ll be a busy week for sure. I didn’t get as much done today as I’d like, but I’ll make sure what I planned on completing is done by the weekend. My sweet tooth kicked in again as I had some gummy candies, chocolates, and ice cream today. Mmmm!!

Lunch and After Lunch

Lunch today was leftover pesto pasta with chicken and some broccoli. I worked while eating lunch and the kids were watching more American Ninja Warrior. Did some more work, and Starbucks came up. I received a notification on my phone that buying a grande or larger drink today will give a free drink reward on Wednesday, Mar 10. The fam got Starbucks, and the husband and I tried some of their new drinks –

  • Iced Brown Sugar Oatmilk Shaken Espresso – espresso, brown sugar, cinnamon shaken together, topped off with oat milk and ice. Pretty good as the grande size comes with 3 shots of espresso. Expensive though as it was close to $6.
  • Iced Chocolate Almondmilk Shaken Espresso – espresso with chocolate malt powder shaken together, topped with almond milk and ice. This one was thinner in texture compared to the creaminess of oat milk, and there was a subtle malt flavor.

Today’s Workouts

I did the workouts in many parts today because of work, but hey, got them done!

  • 12 Minutes to Burn Fat – another one of those low impact cardio workouts with squats and such. Not bad.
  • 1000 Abs – Day 4. We add on wiggles on top of single leg lifts, sit ups, and crunches. The wiggles were really fast. Sit-ups were substituted by anything else per agreement. My raw spot by the tailbone seems worse, so I can’t do a single sit-up without it hurting a lot.

Dinner

Dinner tonight was more of the lasagna the husband made yesterday. I also had some chips and guac afterwards. Good stuff.

Today’s Overview

Felt OK for the most part today. I’m sort of out of it right now though, perhaps from the not-so-good sleep last night. I feel I could have done a lot more today, but I took it slow mostly. We all deserve days of rest, but it’s a bit difficult for me with many responsibilities and anxiety at times. Looking forward to tomorrow and the weekend though!
