Fitness Journal – Day 73 of 90 (Baklava is so Delicious!)

Half way through this work week, and it’s day 73 of 90 of this 90 day journal journey! Today was an alright Wednesday.

Morning

I found one last TJ’s philly cheesesteak bun in the freezer that was there for who knows how long and had that for breakfast along with some string cheese and some coffee with oat milk. Then I watched some TV and started work.

Today’s Workouts

One video today really showed how weak my core is. I really need to strengthen that area! So tough. Today’s videos were –

  • Flat Stomach Fat Melter – some mild mixed cardio and a couple abs moves. Was alright. Short video.
  • Silent Death Cardio – another cardio/HIIT style things.
  • Crazy Abs, Butt & Legs Workout – this one the one that made me feel weak AF especially with the first move – leg outs. I can do them, but not for that along. My lower back felt something after a bit. The second part of the video was legs and it was hard for me to keep my leg up and balance for one of the sides. Thankfully this video wasn’t too long, but the moves are done for longer than expected.
  • Ultimate Fat Burn Workout – Another short cardio video, but I think this one felt longer than it actually was. Not really a fan of some of the music when the pace is too slow.

Afternoon/Lunch

No pick-up/drop-off today, so we had various frozen foods for lunch today. The afternoon was most work. Nothing too eventful there.

Dinner Pick-up

I didn’t have time to step away to pick up dinner tonight with the husband, so he went by himself to pick up our food. He stopped by Trader Joe’s before picking up the food to stock up on some frozen veggies and hash browns. He also picked up some smoked salmon for me. Yaaay, more protein for me for breakfast the next few days.

Dinner Feast

Oren’s Hummus is so good! We love this type of food. I never had this stuff when I was growing up since my parents only cooked Chinese food and when we did go to restaurants, it was Chinese restaurants. It wasn’t until High School until I started going out with friends on our own to try new things. Can you believe that I didn’t like boba/milk tea the first time I tried it?? Shocking, right? I was a freshman in HS (or was it late middle school?), got one a boba milk tea and didn’t like it at all. Honestly, I felt I was super behind on the social front when I was in college because of the way I grew up. It wasn’t until college until I ventured out a bit more and tried so many more things. Part of that may have involved some unsuccessful relationships during that time, primarily of how I was from my upbringing. What a shame… but it’s cool.

The Food

We ordered a family meal and a portion of that goes toward the schools in our district. The family meal consists of 3 proteins – we chose beef kebob, chicken kebob, and chicken schnitzel. It comes with 3 sides by default – Traditional Tabouli, Israeli Salad, and pickled cabbage/veggies. Also a choice of hummus, and another veggie side, which we tried the marinated beets tonight. 6 pita rounds, and 3 sauces accompanied the meal. 3 Desserts too – Baklava (OMG SO GOOD!!), chocolate mousse, and chocolate babka. Yummy stuff.

Today’s Overview

Those “scorching hot” Pringles were such a disappointment. They tasted like plain pringles to me. Anyways, not a bad day today. Somehow I’ve been getting a lot of foggy brain and headache after meals lately. Does something need to change? Hmmm… it’s much harder to eat different things when family is around or when people live with you. I can’t seem to pinpoint what is causing so much foggy brain and various headaches. Besides that, a pretty chill Wednesday with work.
