90 Day Fitness Journey – Day 3/90

What a busy day today! Most of my day (7AM – past 7PM) was spent standing. I really utilized my standing desk today, and was standing through lunch time as I was eating while working.

Morning

I heated up the remaining Trader Joe’s Cheesesteak Bao Buns this morning and had those for breakfast in addition to some coffee. Gotta have that coffee! I got some work done and then decided I needed a break so I did some of the 2/3 Blogilates workout videos. I did the first 2 –

  • I Let Fans Choose My Workout – this was around 6 minutes, and it tired me out! There was a lot of jumping, which was hard on my knees.
  • Fat Burning Cardio + Core – this was a short video too with a lot of jumping. My knees weren’t having it so I modified.

Totally had some Oreos afterwards, plus a lot of water!

Lunch/Afternoon

I did the third video before lunch, which was the 5 Lower Ab Isolation Exercises. It was another short video, and I was introduced to new moves. They were a bit difficult as it was hard for me to keep my lower back directly on the mat. I should do this one more to strengthen my lower abs.

The husband picked up McDonalds for lunch instead of cooking lunch today because our son had an assignment drop-off at the school. Drop-off / Pick-up days = take-out! Usually our McDonalds order includes: happy meals for the kids, extra nuggets for the kids, 2-3 burgers, 20 nuggets, and fries.  Today was just a burger and 10 nuggets with BBQ sauce for me since there were issues with the drive-thru. No fries for us today, and they forgot to put a toy in our daughter’s happy meal. I didn’t look at the sodium levels, but I’m sure they were high!

Evening

Dinner was around 40 minutes later tonight, but that was fine with me because I was still working. The husband cooked some Indian-inspired dishes, such as a creamed spinach curry, channa masala/chickpea curry, and spiced chicken. Our naan came from either Target or Trader Joe’s. The curries were so good, and I’m looking forward to the leftovers tomorrow evening.

I also completed the final workout video, which was a short fun yoga for flexibility video. It was around 10 minutes long, and wow, I really needed that stretching!

Overall/Recap

I exceeded the general 2000 Calories they put on Nutrition labels. The day isn’t over yet, but hopefully I don’t sneak in some ice cream or more cookies tonight. I did so terrible with sodium today, as my mouth felt so dry all afternoon and evening. The good thing is that I drank more water today. Today was really busy, and I have a lot more to do, and I aim to spend some quality time with the kids tonight.
