Fitness Journal – Day 40 of 90 (Chips / Carbs Galore!)

It’s day 40 of 90 of this 90 day journey! 5 more days and we’ll be half way. I don’t feel I’m a serious with this journey as it’s my first time doing this so I’m seeing how it goes and trying to set some good habits, and might have more concise goals next time. 

Morning

This morning started with coffee and matcha shortbread cookies that I made. I didn’t realize I baked green colored cookies close to St. Patrick’s Day, so I’ll post a recipe I used for the cookies tomorrow. 

Today’s Workouts

I did tomorrow’s workouts today since I’ll be at my parents’ place all day tomorrow. The workouts today focused on the legs and thighs – 

  • Wake Up With Me Workout – this video started with roll-ups and the rest was mostly stretching. Decent, slower-paced workout. I liked the hip stretches toward the middle/end as I really needed that.
  • 20 Minute Quick Thigh & Leg Workout – this video wasn’t so quick for me, especially the “awkward leg” inner-thigh parts. Those hurt my inner hip area for some reason. The rest of the video was OK.
  • 10 Minute Beautiful Thigh Sculpt Pilates Workout – this was very similar as the 20 minute one, but with fewer moves. Ugh!!

Looking forward to stretch a bit tomorrow.

Lunch

We had some tuna surprise, broccoli, dumplings, and bagel bites for lunch today. The husband made some mac n cheese too, which the kids ate most of it. Ugh, I’m not a fan of packaged mac n cheese. I need my mac n cheese to be freshly baked, with lots of extra cheese on top and throughout. Do I even want the noodles with the cheese?

Afternoon and Dinner

I snacked on chips almost all day today! It was as if my time of the month was going to come soon, but that shouldn’t happen until a bit after a week. Work was uneventful on my part, but I got to help people with spreadsheets most of the day so it wasn’t bad. Dinner consisted of the leftover fajitas. I also had some pita chips with guac afterwards. Yum. 

Today’s Overview

Wow, I’m snacking on gummies as I’m writing this post. Today is one of those days where I can’t seem to feel full so the mindless snacking happens. Chips, cookies, ice cream, and now gummies. My taste buds are thrilled. I’ll be happy if I can curb this habit, but maybe during the 90 day journey after this one.
