Fitness Journal – Day 47 of 90 (Delicious Marble Bundt Cake!)

It’s Friday and day 47 of 90 of this 90 day journey! It was overall a super chill day. I’d love to have gone out to try some new food or something, but it was a day of staying home and around the neighborhood.

Morning

I brewed a pot of coffee and had some of that and the second half of the TJ’s smoked salmon. Then I realized I had my venti Starbucks latte in the fridge and had that too. Yum! It makes me want a very nice espresso machine with steamer, but my place doesn’t have room for that. Bummer. 

Homescapes

Spent most of my day playing Homescapes on my phone. Ugh, I should just delete that game, but have invested so many hours into the game. I’ve been stuck on a level for a couple days and I’m not contributing much (outside of helps) in this team tournament because I keep failing this one level for the past couple days. Maybe tonight or tomorrow… fingers crossed!

Lunch and Afternoon Baking Adventures

My mom’s sister dumped many bags of yellow split peas to my mom, and she dumped several bags on us. We made some yellow split pea soup with bacon for lunch today. That stuff has so much fiber in there, so I was hoping that’ll help me, but nothing yet today. The soup itself was tasty for what it is, and it was very packed and dense. It was more of a mush than a soup or just a very thick soup. I finally used my half-bundt pan today. I’ve been meaning to bake a marble cake, and finally did so today. It’s chocolate cake and a vanilla almond cake swirled and layered together. So delicious! I was supposed to make a chocolate glaze on top, but I got lazy, and it tastes so good without it anyways.

Today’s Workouts

Today’s Blogilates workout videos focused on legs & thighs. I did tomorrow’s workout and will do the stretches meant for today tomorrow. 

  • Wake Up With Me Workout – one of those dancing with mild cardio moves through a couple songs. Was OK. 
  • 10 Minute Inner Thigh Slimmer – various leg/thigh moves, similar to the next video, but shorter.
  • 20 Minute Leg Slimming Cardio Pilates Workout – this was one where you do a series of moves and then repeat that 3 times. 
  • 5 Inner Thigh Isolations That’ll Tone Your Thighs Like Crazy – this was all plies! 

I had time to go for a walk this afternoon with the kids, husband, and pups. That was nice, except the pups barked at every single dog and person they saw. 

Late Afternoon

More Homescapes, LOL. I totally mostly wasted today being extremely unproductive other than some baking and taking a shower. Dinner plans were supposed to try out a Boba Guys and food nearby there, but I saw their order online only had boba pearls as toppings. The SF location nearby my work had other toppings, such as various jellies. Since this other Boba Guys did not have that options, I didn’t want that anymore. We will be at my parents’ place most day tomorrow, and did not want to deal with leftovers tonight.

Dinner

We ended up getting Chipotle for dinner tonight. Chinese takeout was on our minds, and the ShareTea was nearby, but then for what we wanted to order, we would have had leftovers. We’ll definitely have Chinese food tomorrow, and that much Chinese food in a row might just drive us crazy. How did I survive endless Chinese food and mysterious soup concoctions  growing up?

Today’s Overview

Wow, really hit over 2000 Calories today. That’s what… most days this week? Most of what I had weren’t bad stuff though, so that is a real plus! I’ve been so bothered by how small and cramped our place has been feeling. Ughhhh… I’m also very sick of the inconveniences. They’re just little things, such as… when I’m about to go to the restroom near me, someone else comes down and goes right in there. I’m about to go fill my water cup, and then someone uses the last bits of the water in the Britta filter and does not bother to refill it. Ugh, I absolutely loathe filling that thing so often. Yes, always the same someone… OK, I’ll stop ranting for now.
