Tory Burch Minnie Travel Ballet Flats Review – Comfy Shoes!
Tory Burch Flats Experience
The last time I’ve bought a pair of Tory Burch flats was 7 – 10 years ago, and the quality today seems so much better! I bought a few pairs on sale many years ago – a navy one with gold metal logo (thought it was black, darn my eyes), a black one with a black soft logo, and an orange one with gold metal logo. Here’s now they played out –
- Navy with Gold Logo – Tory Burch flats used to run on the small side. My size 7 was a bit tight, and it took a while for me to break them out. The dye came off to my feet as well, which was annoying. Honestly, not sure what happened to these flats.. they may have gotten misplaced during my many moves over the years back then.
- Black with Soft Black Logo – these were the shiny-ish ones, and they also ran small. I loved these despite them not being so great after long wear. Unfortunately these got destroyed in the rain and started to smell very badly.
- Orange with Gold Logo – Definitely one that was on super clearance and wore no more than a few times. Most likely in a box in the closet. Classic orange though!
My Newest Tory Burch Flats Review
I remembered I really wanted a black leather one with a gold metal logo from a while back, and bought this pair recently. It’s the minnie travel flats, and there is the scrunch on the end of the shoe. Flats I wear (just like Tieks) must have that scrunch somewhere on the flat, otherwise my feet will slip out of them easily due to my feet shape. Here’s some photos and explanations.
The Packaging
Classic colorful box. These have remained consistent over the years. Wrapped in logo tissue paper and comes with a small dust bag. The flats I bought years ago did not come with dust bags when I bought online, but when I bought a pair at the store, it did come with one. I love the dust bags as it comes with a small Tory Burch logo on the drawstring. So cute! Basic with a touch of luxury.
Sizing
The description and many reviews mentioned these Tory Burch flats were true to size, which is a huge improvement than the ones a decade ago. I bought a size 6.5, and they are true to size! It’s amazing that they have half sizes since whole sizes usually doesn’t fit me too well.
Shoe Quality / Style
Such a classic Tory Burch flats look – leather shoes with the logo. The leather itself feels rather soft, but you can see there are already scratches. I’d make sure not to wear these with any chance of rain. The feel is AMAZING. No pinching or wide gaping with these. They truly are a 6.5. They were a bit on the looser 6.5 end when I tried them on though, but yet again, feet size changes throughout the day so maybe they’ll feel a bit more snug another time of day. Hopefully not looser!
Seems Easily Creased
These are soft shoes, and they are travel ballet flats because I guess they can be folded up like Tieks, but aren’t quite advertised to do so. The websites that sell these Minnie Travel flats do not show these flats folded up. I’d do so myself, but I’ve tried with one, but didn’t want to to crease so much right now. In fact, the dust bag that came with these flats were tiny that the shoe won’t fit into it comfortable, hence perhaps they are meant to be folded in to take with you.
Worth It?
Yes, upon initial inspection and try-on. They felt really good and I’m looking forward to taking a long walk with these when it’s dryer outside to avoid another pair of black flats from being destroyed by the rain. These were a bit pricey, just as Tieks, but they are such a classic and I love how cute they look as well. Let’s see how long these flats lasts me! Oh, by the way, my Tieks are still going strong. They were showing more signs of wear and tear, but they’re still doing its job.
