I Tried Alo’s Women’s Performance Tab Socks!
My shopping occurs mostly online or in Walnut Creek these days. Lululemon has been in Walnut Creek for a while, and an Alo yoga has recently opened, and I hear there will be a Beyond Yoga on the way, if not there already. So many brands to choose from! Anyways, I tried Lululemon socks recently, but when I saw Alo’s pink socks, I knew I had to have them!
$18 for a Pair of Socks??
Wow, full price for one pair is $18. So much (imo) for a pair of socks. They were on sale for $12 a pair, which is a bit more than I’d like to pay, but I took the plunge and bought a couple pairs anyways – one of the pink ones and one black one.
Alo Yoga Sock Sizing
They have S/M that fits 5 – 7.5 and M/L that fits 8 – 11. I’m a M in Lululemon socks (the smaller end of M) at a size 6.5 sneak those are a bit snug but nice on me. I ordered the S/M size of Alo yoga socks, and they were definitely thicker and looser than the Lululemon ones. The sizing was a bit big for my 6.5 size, but they still worked pretty well since they didn’t slide down.
Sweat?
The Alo Yoga Performance Tab Socks felt nice, but after 6 minutes on the tread for one OTF class, my feet felt insanely sweaty. I had to throw the socks right into the laundry basket when I got home. Other than it holding my sweat in, I do like these socks though they run a bit large on my feet.
Packaging
Pretty standard, packaged with the details in a lil plastic throwaway/recycling bag. They put the annoying plastic thingy in there to keep the pair in place, and if you pull to separate the socks, the socks can de-thread and leave a small hole. Bleh.
Worth It?
We’ll see how much use I get out of these. They are really cute and feel good on the feet. The Lululemon ones are more compressing, but both types of socks are good in their own different ways.
