Celine Sunglasses – Inspired by Inventing Anna’s Bold Glasses

I watched Inventing Anna on Netflix after I knew it was about that same Anna I read about a few years ago. One thing I noticed was the fashion, especially a pair of the black glasses that she’d wear – the ones withe the 3 lil dots. Thanks to NetflixJunkie, apparently it’s a thing and the header photo above from NJ shows the bold glasses with the 3 dots on her.

New Sunglasses

I didn’t buy the Inventing Anna glasses since I don’t wear glasses anymore after LASIK several years ago. Sunglasses on the other hand… that is something that I’d buy and wear periodically. It’s one of those things that I somewhat like to have, but don’t use them as much as I should, especially during these bright CA days.

Pretty shit quality packaging here. The real Celine packaging would be a lot better though! Again, this is inspired by.
Dust seems to catch into these really quickly, but the look is pretty nice. I really do like this kind of style and the 3 dots is subtle-ly decorative, which is pretty great!

Purchasing

I saw a pair of black bold sunglasses oh DHGate so I bought them. Unlike other things I’ve bought off DHGate, these came pretty quickly! I received them within a couple weeks after ordering, which is super fast compared to some stuff I’m still waiting for that’s been over 2 months!

Packaging

The package came wrapped in a lot of plastic, and underneath contained the box with the inventing anna glasses inspired sunglasses. It came with a small white bag that has “Celine” on it, but the bag quality is crap. It’s one of those that’ll go instantly in the recycling box, unlike more expensive authentic shopping bags. The box itself wasn’t great in quality, but the stuff inside the box (the stuff that matters!) felt pretty nice.

Some people online on Bloomingdales or one of those higher end department stores mentioned that the glasses were a bit flat so they were returned. I see what they meant based off of these. It doesn't bother me much, but these are highly reflective... I tried to take a photo (selfie style!) with these, and kept seeing stuff reflected within the lenses, so no photos of me in this post.
One edge of the inner parts... PARIS, but made in Italy.
The other side of the inner part.

Overall Thoughts

Pretty nice! The design is nice and the fit is alright. They seem to work, but we’ll see if they’ll last a long time. They’ll definitely be a part of my sunglasses rotation, which is pretty good!
