Aweinspired Review – Goddess Bracelets – 14k Yellow Gold Vermeil

I wrote an aweinspired review 10 months ago on their dreamcatcher necklace, and this time it’s about their bracelets! Yep, I’m a repeat customer now, but mainly due to sales. I can’t pass up a good sale especially when there’s a code on top of the sale price to drop the price even further!

Yellow Gold

I used to prefer silver or white gold over yellow gold, but lately, I’m really enjoying yellow gold. It was around Memorial Day and Aweinspired had a Memorial Day sale – it was either an additional 10% or 15% off of whatever in your cart, including sale items.

Packaging of 3 bracelets ordered. No box included.

What I Ordered

$100 regular priced bracelets for around $30? Yes, please! They had some goddess bracelets available and the description include that there are a couple spots to hook the thingy so that it can be regular sized or shorter. I ordered the following goddess coin bracelets –

  • Artemis – Independent. Fiery. Huntress. Huntsman-in-chief to the gods may sound like an odd position for a woman, but not this Goddess. Artemis is known for her love of nature and the hunt, and as the protector of youth. She demanded respect and sought vengeance to anyone who transgressed her. You have her to thank for Orion’s Belt as well as the name Diana.
  • Mulan – Loyal. Rebellious. Warrior. Hua Mulan was a storied female warrior. As legend has it, she disguised herself as a male soldier to take her ailing father’s place in the national army and outperformed her male counterparts in all forms of battle. She is revered as one of China’s most valiant heroines.
  • Aphrodite – Enchanting. Romantic. Divine. Aphrodite is so much more than the Greek Goddess of love, beauty, and gracefulness. “Aphros” means foam in Greek, as she was born from sea foam (remember that next time you emerge from the bubble bath). She’s represented by doves, sparrows, and swans. And myrtle trees, as in fertile myrtle.
They really are tiny! Trying to hard to get a clear image from my phone.

Expectations vs. Reality

Aweinspired’s images on their site has these super duper clear. My spatial awareness is not the best, but somehow I expected the coin portion of the bracelets to be a bit bigger than they are. Specs include the following:

  • Metal: 14k yellow gold vermeil (thick 3 micron coat of 14k yellow gold on solid sterling silver base)
  • Coin Diameter: 12mm
  • Coin Thickness: 1.5mm thick
  • Chain Style: Cable chain
  • Bracelet Length: 7″ with a jump-ring at 6.5″

These bracelets really are dainty! They’re great to wear by themselves or with other bracelets. Somehow I thought I can adjust them down even further or thought 6.5″ would be OK, but unfortunately, they are too big for my tiny wrists. Ugh, I’m so unproportionate!

Packaging and Check Out

There was a gift box option upon checkout, but I was unable to click on that. Perhaps I was ordering via mobile and Safari or whichever phone browser I was using didn’t work 100% that day or Aweinspired ran out and didn’t allow the checkmark to include a box. The bracelets each arrived in the small drawstring bags above. There was a paper featuring a few of their items and care instructions. The instructions mentioned to use the polishing or cleaning cloth it comes with, but none of these bracelets came with such cloth. My necklace 10 months ago came with a box and the said small cleaning cloth, so I wonder if that comes with the box or just with not bracelets?

You can see the clasp and how it can be adjusted

Worth It?

These really are dainty bracelets and they are super cute. If you’re into “goddesses” and jewelry, they are worth checking out. If you have super small wrists like me, probably better to pass unless you want to cut some of the chain and manually adjust. $100 is a bit steep in my opinion for one of these, but $30 was a lot more manageable. I’m unsure when I’ll wear mine because I misjudged the size; it’d be great if the chain was an inch shorter for my wrists. Please let me know any legit and painless methods to grow my wrists, if any.

On my arm, but they all fall and clutter if my arm is down

Final Comments to this Aweinspired Review

There you have it. I hope you enjoyed the images and that it gave a clearer idea of what these aweinspired bracelets are and how they look like. They feel pretty good and I don’t really regret this purchase because they were on super sale.
