Costco Wine Advent Calendar Review – 2022
It’s so exciting to try another wine advent calendar this year! A friend gifted me the Costco wine advent calendar this year, and OMG, so fun! I don’t have a Costco membership (yet), so I was really happy to receive this amazing gift because I love wine and trying new things re stuff I like.
Packaging
LOL, so FedEx delivered the package and the box/tracking said 2 pounds. It was definitely a lot more than that! It was heavy as this contained 24 half bottled wines – 375mL each. Larger than the advent calendar I tried last year. The cardboard is thick and steady and the pop outs for each day is adorable!
Variety of Wines
I love trying new wines, but I’m not familiar with many brands as I just mostly drink the wines. Cabernets are what I lean to the most, but perhaps it’s because that’s what my parents serve at their place all the time. My coworkers introduced me to other wines, such as Malbec, Rhône, etc. I love these wine advent calendars because it’s a lot of types of wines and there isn’t the commitment of a full sized bottle.
Red, White, and Rose
There’s many reds (yay), some whites, and a few rose wines in here. What a nice surprise!
Pros and Cons
- All of them are different, so more variety of wines to try.
- Half bottle sizes may be a bit much for me to try one per day, so these are great for sharing. More excuse to open more than one bottle a day!
- Not really high quality wine and most are from the current year or the year before.
- They are all (so far) have been rather drinkable, so way less waste!
Worth It?
YES!! OK, I don’t know how much this costs, but usually wine advent calendars are a great price per bottle of wine.
