Ramsay’s Kitchen Vegas Review – Gordon’s Newest Restaurant @ Harrah’s!

Last week (12/27/22), I tried Gordon Ramsay’s newest restaurant in Las Vegas – Ramsay’s Kitchen at Harrah’s Casino. This restaurant opened a couple months or so ago and a couple friends and I were really excited to try. Thankfully they were open for lunch in addition to dinner because we already had dinner reservations for each night we were in Vegas after Christmas.

Interior - pretty cool Gordon photo/art and consistent theme. The colors here remind me a bit of my new Dyson hair dryer color.

Concept/Feel

Ramsay’s Restaurant Vegas… the name itself gives me family vibes. It seems to be an elegant and chill place to take your family or friends for a casual meal. Nearly all the items on the menu are items from Gordon Ramsay’s other great establishments, such as his steak restaurant in the Paris casino, Pub in Caesar’s Palace hotel, fish n chips by the Linq hotel, Burger at Planet Hollywood hotel, Hell’s Kitchen outside Caesar’s, etc. You’ll find his signature items, such as scallops and beef Wellington here, as well as popular sides such as his potato purée. Also pricey just as his other restaurant items.

Seating - there’s the front part and then the back part that you can see the kitchen and raw bar.

Let’s Dive into the Menu!

Diving Into What we Ordered Soon

We wanted to try new stuff here as we already tried a good number of things from Gordon Ramsay’s Steakhouse multiple times. A lot of the stuff on Ramsay’s Kitchen menu are from his steakhouse and Hell’s Kitchen (and also the pub), such as his signature beef Wellington, scallops, sticky toffee pudding, etc. We went seafood heavy to try some things to share for this reason and because we love certain seafood and raw items!

Half order of oysters! These were really good, one of our faves here. There are 2 different types, 3 of each. The sauces and such are nice as well. Wished we got the full order, but these are some expensive lil oysters. These contain east coast oysters, west coast oysters, cocktail sauce, lemon, and champagne mignonette.
Beef carpaccio. Raw beef with horseradish panca cotta, cured egg yolk, parmigiano-reggiano cheese, artichoke chips, fried capers, English mustard sauce, flour de seal. Seems a bit different than the description, but not bad. The server rolled it up and sliced it for us. Pretty good!
Jumbo lump crab cake - a $30 crab cake! They say this one has no fillers in there, so that “justifies” the price? I can’t really enjoy crab when I drink so thankfully I wasn’t drinking while eating this. This is 100% real crab since I felt a bit of that crab sensitivity as I was trying this. There’s also a small salad wtih grapefruit. Sauce is citrus herb aioli.
Here’s the oysters, beef carpaccio, and crab cake in one photo. The beef carpaccio and the oysters came out first, and then the crab cake shortly afterwards.

Thoughts so Far

The 3 dishes above were good, but not mind blowing good. It’s what was expected. Our fave out of these 3 were the oysters, followed by the beef carpaccio. Let’s move on to the other 2 things we tried.

Maitake Mushroom - char siu butter, miso aioli. OMG, these maitake mushrooms were so rich in flavor. They were very soft and I prefer mine to be a bit less done, but it still has the nice mushroom texture and the flavors were amazing. One of our favorite things here for sure.
Tuna Tartare - with chili garlic soy, sour cream, avocado, and wonton crisps. This was good, but it just didn’t really standout from other tuna tartares. It tasted like a poke bowl kind of fish re the flavors here.

…and That was our Meal!

We had a light lunch at Ramsay’s Kitchen Vegas. Clean, chill atmosphere, consistent theme throughout. We were seated that we can see the raw bar and the kitchen so that was nice. The food was all good, but it wasn’t spectacular. For instance, the tuna tartare was good, but it really tasted like a traditional poke bowl re the flavors so it didn’t really stand out in terms of flavor and presentation. Our favorite things here were the oysters and the maitake mushrooms.

Next Time?

Bring some unique / exclusively Ramsay’s Kitchen items and we’ll come back. If there are some exclusive items, we weren’t told. A lot of the menu was what we’ve seen at other Gordon establishments and we didn’t want to get those here. They might taste the same, right? The beef Wellington tasted the same when we had it at the steakhouse, Hell’s Kitchen, and the pub. It’s worth a try and the theme and service was pretty good too!

Prob More of a Dinner Spot

We skipped drinks and desserts here, but they all did look good. The Eton Mess was something I haven’t had before so I’d prob choose that if I wanted dessert. OK, so maybe there will be a next time?
