Tatcha Lucky Bag – 2024 Review!

Happy 2024! First post of the year, and I’m excited to share the contents of this year’s Tatcha Lucky Bag (fukubukuro). You can check out 2023’s version here. 

Only 1 code per order, and I wanted both bags again, so I made 2 separate orders to get one of each bag. LUCKY24 code this year while supplies last from Jan 4 - Jan 15. Spend $200+ and get a lucky bag worth around $200, and spend $100 - $199.99 (pre-tax I think?) and get a lucky bag worth around $100. I heard last year that the $200 bags went out fast so later purchasers got the $100 bag… I shopped early to get both!

OK, almost there… here is what I got to get these bags. Slip silk pillow case with silk serum combo and the lotion for the $200 bag and a texture tonic and face wash for the $100 bag.

$100 Bag Breakdown

  • The Rice Polish Classic – 15g|0.5oz – Mini size, $22
  • The Silk Cream – 10ml|0.34 fl oz – Mini size, $32
  • The Silk Canvas – 7g|0.24oz – Mini size – $24 
  • The Silk Powder – 7g|0.25oz – Mini size – $24
  • Kissu Lip Mask – 5g|0.17oz – this is usually 9g at $29, so $16 here

Total Worth: $118. Pretty good deal! Girl math, girl math?? 

There is a card inside the bag that explains the items, but not all samples fit on one side of the card, so there’s another side for the overage. Photo and more text below.

$100 Bag Thoughts

I would put the silk cream, rice polish, and kissu lip mask to good use. Unfortunately, I don’t wear make up and such so the silk canvas and silk powder will be given away. One of the better $100 bags I’ve seen in my opinion based on what I would use. Last year’s $100 bag was a bust for me since I didn’t use most of those items and ended up giving those away. 

Now it’s time for the $200 bag! There’s larger items here!! Full size! Let’s goooooo!!

$200 Lucky Bag Breakdown

  • The Rice Polish Classic – 15g|0.5oz – Mini Size – $22
  • The Texture Tonic – 150ml|5.0 fl oz – Full size – $62
  • The Essence – 75ml|2.5 fl oz – Mini size – $65
  • Violet-C Brightening Serum – 10ml|0.34 fl oz – full size is 30ml for $89, so $29 or $30 here to round
  • The Silk Cream – 10ml|0.34 fl oz – $32

Total Worth: $211. Amazing!

$200 Bag Thoughts

LOL, now I have 2 full size texture tonics. It’s all good… I’ll use them both. Or, one will make a pretty pretty good gift. The silk cream and the rice polish mini sizes are in both bags, but luckily these are items I would use. Pretty good bag. I liked 2023’s $200 bag more than 2022’s $200 bag, and I like this year’s $200 bag more than both those years based on my usage. 

Overall Thoughts

My favorite lucky bags so far. Win win on both based on what I use. The only items that I would never use are the silk canvas and silk powder. I don’t mind that the silk cream and rice polish are repeated in both these bags. Prior bags had repeats too, such as silk canvas one year, and the dewy skin mist another year – items I haven’t used. Soooo this year was a winner for me!

    Wow these bags are amazing this year. Thanks so much for sharing what you got. Mine should be coming on Monday and I’m much more excited to get them now. I’m very glad I didn’t get the full sized texture tonic, it was a hard decision to narrow down this year. I did get a full sized essence tho, oh well, I guess I’ll have more for the future. Oh you can also use the silk canvas under sun screen if that helps you give it a purpose. Thanks again for sharing, I check your website every year for the lucky bag sale ♥️
