My goodness… Louis Vuitton bags had some major price increases in 2021, but their small leather goods pricing remained steady over the years. My latest piece is their reverse monogram card holder. This reminds me a bit of my reverse monogram Pochette Metis in regards to the pattern, and I love how each side is different in pattern design. Here’s my Louis Vuitton card holder thoughts!
Packaging
So I found out that there is an option to “add a shopping bag” to the online order, but my order did not come with said shopping bag. LV’s packaging changed slightly sometime before Christmas, noted in the red ribbon and such. The box structure is the same as their prior packaging, with a bit of font differences.
Why The Reverse Monogram Louis Vuitton Card Holder?
It just looks like a small piece of canvas ti put in a card, right? Well, it’s a bit more than that! I thought I would get their monogram card holder with fuchsia or their damier ebene card holder, but I decided to get the reverse monogram during the last minute. That’s because the front and the back aren’t the same! One side is the lighter brown (lol… a bit less attractive) with the darker brown background, and the other side it’s reversed.
Wallet Substitute at Work
I love my Louis Vuitton wallets, but I get a bit paranoid when carrying expensive stuff while I ride the train into work. The Louis Vuitton card holder is great for that since it holds the essential cards and a couple bills inside in a super compact way.
3 Pocket Spaces
One in the front, one in the back, and one in the middle!
Love It!
I love the key holder pouch thingy in rainbow LV print that I got years ago (my very first LV online purchase, and I wish they still sell these or items in that print), but it’s a bit too bulky for my work needs since I don’t use the keyring portion. The card holder allows me to fit in a few cards and some bills. Easy access, etc. Yes, $220 is a bit ridiculous, but I decided to treat myself once again.
